Easy Garlic And Herb Breadsticks Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 ¾ cups bread flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
  • ⅓ cup fresh parsley, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
Directions
  1. Add warm water, instant yeast, olive oil, and sugar to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook.
  2. Add bread flour, kosher salt, Italian seasoning, parsley, and garlic.
  3. Mix on medium-low speed for 7-8 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  4. Cover the mixing bowl with a kitchen towel and let the dough rise for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  7. On a lightly floured work surface, roll the dough into a 6x12-inch rectangle.
  8. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough in half.
  9. Cut each half into 5 strips.
  10. Fold each strip in half.
  11. Twist the strips several times to create a twisted breadstick.
  12. Divide between the two baking sheets and let rise for 15 minutes, until puffy.
  13. Bake breadsticks for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
  14. Brush breadsticks with melted butter and top with flaky sea salt. Serve warm.
