TastingTable New York City
Weekend Menu

Friday, 12/4 6 to 10 p.m.
Cookie Cutter
Since we were robbed of the annual cookie-filled issue of Gourmet, we'll
have to fend for ourselves this season. Luckily, the French Culinary
Institute is on hand to assist in the butter-flour-sugar department with
its Holiday Cookie Intensive ($195). Work with the school's pastry
instructors to gain the proper techniques to make photo-worthy (and
delicious) holiday treats. 462 Broadway (at Grand St.);

Bird Walk
Get the lay of the culinary land with Rum & Blackbird, and its new
food-focused walking tour of Hell's Kitchen. This Saturday is the perfect
time to go for a stroll, as R&B is hosting its first guest-chef tour,
featuring Anita Lo. Her three-hour route ($49) includes stops (and samples)
at more than five restaurants, including Xie Xie
