Finish Strong
Cap a great meal with a glass of Les Petits Grains
If you've been skipping dessert lately, here's a reason to reconsider: Restaurants across the Tri-State area are serving up their best sweet offerings with a glass of superior French dessert wine--all at a discounted price--as a part of Les Petits Grains & Luscious Desserts Only.
The event, aimed at ending your meal on a high note, spotlights the under-the-radar dessert wine Les Petits Grains from the St. Jean de Minervois appellation of France's Languedoc region.
Deliciously similar to Bordeaux's famed Sauternes (but often at a better value), its rich honey and apricot flavors match perfectly with most of the dessert cart--and the cheese cart as well.
But Les Petits Grains & Luscious Desserts Only will allow you to see and taste for yourself: From October 15 through November 15, Mâitres Cuisiniers de France are creating special desserts--like a bananas foster tartlet at Jack's Oyster House and crumble of pear and chestnut confit at L'Absinthe Brasserie-Restaurant--for you to enjoy alongside glasses (or bottles) of Les Petits Grains. Other participating restaurants are Restaurant Jean-Louis, Madison Bistro, 2 WEST, Union League.
