Taste-Spotters

Mark your calendar for a concentration of culinary talent

Food events are a dime a dozen, and it's no easy task discerning which ones are worth your time.

But here's one that lives up to its title: New York magazine's New York Taste event. This giant walk-around tasting on November 2 features the city's finest chefs and mixologists--all handpicked by New York's culinary editor, Gillian Duffy--to give you the city's best flavors in one room.

This year's roster is exemplary: You'll taste an array of dishes and chat up chefs like Blue Hill's Dan Barber, Dovetail's John Fraser, Pegu Club's Audrey Saunders and Marea's Michael White (click here to see the full list of participating restaurants and bars).

And your ticket works twofold: Not only does it get you in the door, but it also acts as a tool to help fight hunger--a portion of proceeds benefits City Harvest.
