Tasting Table Announces Appointment of Chicago Editor Heather Sperling, formerly of StarChefs™, to helm Chicago edition

Tasting Table, the daily epicurean email, has named Heather Sperling as its Chicago Edition Editor. She will be based in Chicago and will report to Editor-in-Chief Nick Fauchald. The Chicago edition is scheduled to launch July 6, 2009.

Prior to joining Tasting Table, Sperling served as features editor of the award-winning foodservice industry website, StarChefs™. She has also written for numerous local and national publications including Michigan Avenue Magazine, Plate Magazine and The Atlantic Food Channel.

"Heather is a keen reporter and top-notch writer," Fauchald said. "She understands what makes Chicago one of America's best food cities, and we're excited for her to share that insider knowledge with our readers."
"Chicago's food scene has exploded in the last few years," said Sperling. In addition to Chicago, Tasting Table's San Francisco edition will also launch this summer. This follows the successful debut of Tasting Table’s premier New York and Los Angeles editions, as well as the national "Everywhere" edition. These new editions are launching in response to robust subscriber growth and strong advertising revenue.

More local editions are planned for 2009 and beyond.
