Taste of the Nation Los Angeles will raise critical funds needed to support the national organization’s efforts to end childhood hunger in Los Angeles and across America.

"We are proud to help spread the word about this great cause to our Los Angeles readers," said Geoff Bartakovics, CEO Tasting Table.

This year’s event, "Sunday at the Park," will take place on June 14th at Culver City’s Media Park, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

More than 45 of the city’s finest restaurants and bars will participate in the gastronomic event. Led by Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger of Border Grill and Ciudad, the event will honor Chef Nancy Silverton of Mozza for her outstanding contributions to nutritional education and philanthropy. The event will feature on-stage cooking demonstrations from Milliken and Feniger as well as Michael Mina of XIV. A “Mole Cookoff” will be hosted by food critic Jonathan Gold, and special appearances are expected by Tasting Table Los Angeles Editor Lesley Balla, Food Network TV personalities and others.

Since its inception 21 years ago, Taste of the Nation has granted $1.4 million to Los Angeles charities and raised more than $70 million for organizations in the United States, Canada and abroad. Taste of the Nation events promote awareness of Share Our Strength’s efforts.

Tickets for Taste of the Nation Los Angeles can be purchased by calling 1-877-26-Taste or by visiting www.tasteofthenation.org. 100% of ticket proceeds go to Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger in America.
