Tasting Table has named Scott Hocker as its San Francisco Edition Editor
Tasting Table (TastingTable.com), the daily epicurean email, has named Scott Hocker as its San Francisco Edition Editor. Tasting Table San Francisco is set to launch on Wednesday, October 21.
Hocker comes to Tasting Table from the award-winning magazine San Francisco, where he served as senior editor.
"I've been a fan of Scott's writing for years," says Nick Fauchald, Tasting Table's editor-in-chief. "He's a voracious reporter and his knack for unearthing exciting new stories will serve our readers well."
"San Francisco and the Bay Area are already known as international food-and-drink destinations," says Hocker. "With Tasting Table’s San Francisco edition, we’ll show readers why as we celebrate the region’s standard-bearers and trumpet its noteworthy up-and-comers. If it’s fit to eat or drink, we'll have it covered."
In addition to San Francisco magazine, Hocker has also written for local, national, and international publications including Sunset, epicurious.com, and Food and Travel. His December 2008 San Francisco cover story about Bay Area dessert culture will be featured in the forthcoming Best Food Writing 2009 anthology.
Tasting Table San Francisco is the fifth edition of the daily email to launch within the past calendar year. Other editions include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and the national “Everywhere” edition. Tasting Table Washington D.C. is scheduled to launch later this year.
