In a large bowl, add the hoisin sauce, the ginger, the five spice powder, the garlic powder, the honey, the soy sauce, the rice wine, and the brown sugar. Mix everything together to create a marinade.
Place the pork steaks into the bowl with the marinade, and make sure they are fully coated in the mixture. Cover the bowl and let the meat marinate for 30 minutes.
Preheat the grill to medium high heat and remove the pork steaks from the marinade bowl. Place them onto a grill rack with a tray underneath to catch any juices.
Use a pastry brush to coat the pork steaks with more of the marinade. Then place the prepared pork steaks under the heat. Allow the pork steaks to grill for 6 minutes on each side, coating the other side with the prepared marinade when the steaks are flipped, until they are cooked through, and the marinade is deliciously sticky and has darkened in color. Serve hot.
