4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients
  • 31/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 scant cup sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
Directions
  1. Bring the milk and half the sugar to a boil. Remove from heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the yolks with the remaining half of the sugar. Use a ladle to pour the hot milk mixture into the yolk mixture one teaspoon at a time. After roughly 1/4 cup of the milk has been added, stir in a few tablespoons at a time until half the milk mixture has been added.
  3. Whisk the mixture into the pot with the rest of the milk and heat over medium to medium low heat to 170 F. Remove from heat.
  4. Whisk in peanut butter. Strain into a clean container and refrigerate overnight.
  5. The following day, process per ice cream maker directions. Freeze for two hours to firm.
