In a large bowl, add the oil, ground cumin, brown sugar, garlic powder, chili flakes, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Whisk the ingredients together until they are throughly combined.
Add the chicken wings into the bowl with the marinade and mix them thoroughly until well coated. Set aside to marinade for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the broiler to a high heat.
Place the chicken wings, spaced out, on a wire rack over an oven tray that is lined with foil.
Place the tray under the broiler for 10 minutes until the wings are nicely browned, and then turn them over and cook for another 10 minutes on the other side until cooked through and golden.
