Mustardy Sheet Pan Sausage And Apples Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 large red apples, such as Fuji, diced
  • 3 cups peeled and diced butternut squash
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 5 bratwurst sausages
  • 10 sage leaves
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and pepper flakes.
  3. Spread the apples, squash, and onion on a baking sheet.
  4. Nestle the sausages into the veggies.
  5. Drizzle the mustard dressing over the veggies, then toss to coat. (Alternatively, you can do this in a bowl.)
  6. Roast for 25 minutes, then flip the sausages and toss the veggies.
  7. Roast for another 15 minutes, then sprinkle the sage over the sheet tray.
  8. Roast 10 minutes longer, or until sausages are cooked through to 165 F.
  9. Serve warm.
