  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons diced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons diced celery
  • ½ shallot, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped dill pickles
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon minced dill
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 slider buns
  • 3 cups loosely packed lettuce
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
  3. To make the homemade bay blend, place the celery salt, bay leaves, paprika, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in a large bowl and stir well to mix.
  4. To make the crabcakes, add 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons of Dijon mustard, the egg, bell pepper, celery, shallot, garlic, pepper, and parsley to the bay blend and whisk well to combine.
  5. Add the crab meat and breadcrumbs and stir gently to coat.
  6. Form 12 small patties and place them on the baking sheet.
  7. Drizzle olive oil on top of the patties and bake for about 25 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until golden brown and slightly crispy.
  8. Meanwhile, make the tartar sauce by placing the mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, dill, and parsley in a medium bowl and whisking to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve the crab cakes warm on slider buns with lettuce on the bottom and tartar sauce on top.
