Loaded Greek Turkey Burger Sliders Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • Zest of ¾ lemon, divided
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • ½ cucumber, grated and drained (about ½ cup grated)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons dill
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Zest of ¼ lemon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper
  • 8 small burger buns or slider rolls
  • 8 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
Directions
  1. In a bowl, mix together the ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, ¼ cup feta cheese, 2 tablespoons dill, zest of ¾ of a lemon, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a non-stick or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the turkey burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki sauce by combining the yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, 2 tablespoons dill, lemon juice, zest of ¼ of a lemon, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ⅛ teaspoon pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
  6. Toast the burger buns or slider rolls, if desired.
  7. Smear tzatziki on both sides of the bun.
  8. To assemble, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a turkey burger patty.
  9. Top with sliced tomatoes and ¼ cup crumbled feta.
  10. Serve the loaded Greek turkey burger sliders immediately.
