Spanish Chorizo And Pear Panini Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 thick-cut slices country bread
  • 1 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon fig jam
  • 2 ounces brie cheese
  • 8 slices cured Spanish chorizo
  • ¼ cup arugula
  • ½ ripe pear
Directions
  1. Heat a panini press or indoor grill to medium heat.
  2. Spread half of the butter on one slice of bread.
  3. On the other slice, spread the fig jam.
  4. Slice the brie cheese and add it to the top of the jam.
  5. Arrange the chorizo slices on top of the cheese.
  6. Slice the pear and arrange it on top of the chorizo.
  7. Top with the arugula.
  8. Add the buttered bread to the sandwich, butter-side up.
  9. Place the sandwich, butter-side down, onto the grill.
  10. Spread the rest of the butter on the other side of the sandwich and close the grill.
  11. Grill until golden brown and toasted, about 5 minutes.
  12. Remove and cut in half to serve.
