Hot Honey Apricot Margarita Recipe

Ingredients
  • 6 apricots
  • 1 ½ ounces tequila
  • ½ ounce Cointreau
  • ½ ounce lime juice
  • ½ ounce hot honey
Directions
  1. Add apricots to a saucepan and cover with water.
  2. Bring to a boil then remove from heat and let sit until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer to a bowl of cold water, then remove the skins and seeds.
  4. Blend the skinned apricots until smooth, making the apricot puree.
  5. To make the margarita, first add ice to a cocktail shaker.
  6. Add the tequila, 1 ounce of apricot puree, Cointreau, lime juice, and hot honey.
  7. Shake until frothy, about 20 seconds.
  8. Strain into a glass over ice.
  9. Garnish with red pepper flakes to serve.
