Jalapeño Cheddar Waffles Recipe

Ingredients
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 ¼ cups yellow cornmeal
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups whole milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 large eggs
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 jalapeno, diced
Directions
Preheat your waffle iron.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Mix in the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well-combined.
Add the cheddar cheese and diced jalapeno to the batter and mix until incorporated.
Spray your waffle iron with nonstick spray or wipe with oil if required.
Pour about ⅔ cup of batter into your waffle maker and cook until golden brown.
Repeat until all the batter has been used.
Serve warm with the toppings of your choice.
