Easy Muffuletta Party Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (11-ounce) pack ready-rolled puff pastry
  • ⅓ cup olive tapenade
  • 3 ½ ounces sliced salami
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 1 medium egg, beaten
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry onto a clean surface.
  4. Spread the olive tapenade onto the pastry, making sure to get it to the edges.
  5. Top the olive tapenade with slices of salami.
  6. Sprinkle over the grated Parmesan.
  7. Using your hands, carefully roll the pastry into a tight sausage shape.
  8. Wrap the log and place the pastry into the fridge for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the pastry from the fridge and carefully slice it into thin rounds.
  10. Place the pinwheels onto the prepared baking sheet.
  11. Brush the pinwheels with egg wash using a pastry brush.
  12. Bake for 12 - 14 minutes until golden and puffed up.
  13. Remove from the oven and leave to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.
