Bourbon-Glazed Baked Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup bourbon
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 ½ pounds chicken wings
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced
Directions
  1. To make the marinade, combine bourbon, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, paprika, and cayenne.
  2. Reserve ⅓ of the marinade for glaze.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the rest of the marinade and the chicken wings.
  4. Cover and marinate the wings for 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
  6. Place a wire rack over a baking sheet.
  7. Arrange the wings on the rack.
  8. Pat them dry with paper towels and bake for 40 minutes, turning halfway.
  9. Transfer reserved marinade to a saucepan.
  10. Cook on medium heat for about 15 minutes, until it reduces in half.
  11. Brush the wings with glaze, and bake them for 5 more minutes.
  12. Garnish with scallions and serve immediately.
