The Bear-Inspired Herbed Mashed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 pounds yellow potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt, divided
  • ½ cup butter
  • ¾ cup cream
  • 5 sprigs thyme
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 4 bay leaves
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
Directions
  1. Peel the potatoes.
  2. Chop the potatoes.
  3. Add the potatoes to a pot with 1 teaspoon salt, cover with water, and boil for 20 minutes.
  4. Add the butter and cream to a small pot over medium-low heat.
  5. Tie the thyme, rosemary, and bay leaves together with twine to form a bouquet.
  6. Add to the pot and simmer as you work on the potatoes.
  7. Once they're done boiling, drain the potatoes and put them through a potato ricer.
  8. Remove the herbs from the butter and cream mixture and pour it over the potatoes a little bit at a time.
  9. Mix the remaining salt and the pepper into the potatoes.
  10. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.
