Homemade Blueberry Simple Syrup Recipe

Ingredients
  • 8 ounces blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup water
  • ΒΌ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Directions
  1. Add all of the ingredients to a small saucepan and mix to combine.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes stirring frequently. Remove the pan from the heat.
  3. Use a fork or a masher to gently mash the blueberries in the saucepan.
  4. Strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve into a glass container or a bowl.
  5. Once cool, use the blueberry simple syrup as desired or store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
