Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups pecans, finely chopped
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F
  2. Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, or spray it well with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  4. In a separate large bowl mix together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil.
  5. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until well combined.
  6. Stir in the flour mixture until incorporated.
  7. Mix in the pecans until just combined.
  8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until it's golden brown and the center is set.
  10. Let cool for at least 15 minutes, then slice into squares and serve.
