Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, room temperature
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup toffee chips
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the butter with both types of sugar until smooth and creamy, using either a hand mixer on medium speed or a wooden spoon.
  3. Mix the egg and vanilla into the butter and sugar.
  4. Sift the flour together with the baking soda, then mix these into the butter mixture.
  5. Stir in the toffee pieces and chocolate chips until they are dispersed throughout the cookie dough.
  6. Roll small handfuls of the dough into balls.
  7. Place the cookies on the baking sheets, leaving enough space between them to allow for spreading.
  8. Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. Leave the cookies on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool.
