Smoked Orange Rum Balls Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 cups (9 ounces) finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies
  • ¾ cup pecans, finely chopped
  • ¾ cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • 1½ cups confectioners’ sugar, plus more for coating
  • ¼ cup dark spiced rum
  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1½ teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon smoked salt
Directions
  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined. Scoop 1-tablespoon-sized pieces of dough and, using your hands, roll into balls. Then roll the balls in a small bowl of confectioners' sugar to coat, shaking off any excess; transfer to a platter and serve.
