2 cups (9 ounces) finely crushed vanilla wafer cookies
¾ cup pecans, finely chopped
¾ cup walnuts, finely chopped
1½ cups confectioners’ sugar, plus more for coating
¼ cup dark spiced rum
¼ cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1½ teaspoons orange zest
1 teaspoon smoked salt
Directions
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined. Scoop 1-tablespoon-sized pieces of dough and, using your hands, roll into balls. Then roll the balls in a small bowl of confectioners' sugar to coat, shaking off any excess; transfer to a platter and serve.
