Place a coffee mug (preferably made of clear glass) in the freezer to chill.
Make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan set over medium heat, combine the sugar and water. Heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, 2 to 3 minutes. Cool slightly, then pour into an airtight container and refrigerate.
Make the cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine the brandy, Cherry Heering, egg white, cold turbinado simple syrup and coffee. Cover, shake and strain into the chilled coffee mug. Serve immediately.
