Ground Pork Lettuce Wraps Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 carrot
  • ½ bell pepper
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seed oil
  • 17 ounces ground pork
  • ½ cup cashew nuts
  • 4 tablespoons dark soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 head romaine lettuce
Directions
  1. Begin the recipe by chopping the carrot, bell pepper, and green onions into thin, vertical strips.
  2. Place the sesame seed oil into a frying pan and turn the heat up to medium-high heat.
  3. Fry the ground pork until brown — this will take about 10 minutes.
  4. Toast the cashews in the oven for 1 to 2 minutes on the highest boil setting, until golden brown.
  5. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, chili flakes, and salt to the ground pork. Mix together and cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Separate the lettuce leaves and place the pork mixture, chopped carrots, bell peppers, and green onion on top. Sprinkle with toasted cashews and serve.
