Deep-Fried Bananas Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 bananas
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅛ cup white granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup + 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 egg
Directions
  1. Begin the recipe by peeling and chopping the bananas into ½-inch discs.
  2. Place the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl, and mix them together.
  3. Place the vegetable oil in a pot, putting it over a medium-high heat.
  4. Add the milk and egg into the flour mixture and mix the batter.
  5. Coat the banana discs in the batter, then use tongs to place them directly into hot oil.
  6. Fry the banana pieces for 2 minutes on each side, working in batches. After pieces have fried for 4 minutes, transfer them to a plate.
  7. Sprinkle optional confectioners sugar over the bananas and serve.
