Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted and divided
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
  • 4 eggs, divided
  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, or spray it with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, ½ cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 2 eggs until well-mixed. Slowly add in the flour mixture until fully incorporated. Press the dough flat into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a large bowl, add the cream cheese, remaining 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and ½ cup melted butter. Beat together until the mixture is creamy. Add in the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until the cream cheese mixture is smooth. Pour it over the dough in the prepared pan, spreading it evenly to the edges.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are set.
  5. Cool completely, then cut the bars and serve.
