- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ cup sugar
- ¾ cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups slivered/flaked almonds
- ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
- Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it hangs over the edges. Preheat the oven to 320 F.
- Add the butter, sugar, and maple syrup to a saucepan and heat on a low-medium temperature, stirring occasionally until the butter melts.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla extract and almonds. Stir well to combine.
- Pour the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until caramel-colored all over.
- When fresh out of the oven, sprinkle the flaky sea salt on top.
- Allow the almond brittle to cool completely before breaking into shards.
