Almond Brittle Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¼ cups slivered/flaked almonds
  • ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
Directions
  1. Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper, ensuring it hangs over the edges. Preheat the oven to 320 F.
  2. Add the butter, sugar, and maple syrup to a saucepan and heat on a low-medium temperature, stirring occasionally until the butter melts.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla extract and almonds. Stir well to combine.
  4. Pour the mixture onto your prepared baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until caramel-colored all over.
  6. When fresh out of the oven, sprinkle the flaky sea salt on top.
  7. Allow the almond brittle to cool completely before breaking into shards.
