- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- ¾ cup shredded Parmesan cheese + more for garnish
- 1 ½ cups barbecue sauce, divided
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- garlic salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- Preheat the oven to 350 F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, onion, Parmesan cheese, ¾ cup of barbecue sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic salt, and pepper. Mix together until well incorporated. Form the meat into large balls.
- Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Place each meatball onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake the meatballs in the oven for 30 minutes.
- After baking, remove the meatballs from the oven and brush them with the remaining barbecue sauce.
- Serve with rice, potatoes, or toast and garnish with additional shredded Parmesan cheese and chopped chives if desired.
