Slow Cooker Baked Beans Recipe

Ingredients
  • ½ cup barbecue sauce
  • ⅓ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon gochujang (or more to taste)
  • ½ pound bacon (about 8 strips), chopped
  • 2 (15.5-ounce) cans navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15.5-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15.5-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
  1. In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, molasses, brown sugar, vinegar, and gochujang. Stir until well blended.
  2. Add the bacon to the bottom of the slow cooker pot in a single layer.
  3. Mix all the beans together, then place on top of the bacon without stirring.
  4. Sprinkle the onion on top of the beans -- again, without stirring. Pour the sauce prepared in Step 1 over the onions.
  5. Cook the beans for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high.
  6. Stir the beans; season with salt and pepper to taste.
