Ingredients
4 tablespoons (½ stick) butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
Directions
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Gradually whisk in the flour.
Cook this roux mixture for 2 minutes, whisking constantly.
Gradually stir in the milk.
Stir in the salt, pepper, and onion powder.
Cook the gravy for several minutes, stirring, until slightly thickened.
Serve immediately; refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container.
