20 Best Restaurants In South Jersey
BY JULIA COLLINS
Verona Ristorante Italiano
This spot in Haddonfield is just 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia and is the perfect date spot. It is a newer upscale restaurant, having opened in 2018.
The menu includes Peach Burrata, Lobster Ravioli, and Penne Alla Vodka. The homemade desserts change every day, so there’s always something new to try.
Joe Italiano’s Maplewood
This restaurant is a South Jersey classic with multiple locations. We recommend the original in Hammonton, since it recently expanded its dining area.
You can’t go wrong with anything you order here because the food is heavenly and the sauces
are homemade. Tables even get two kinds of fresh bread and a complimentary salad.
Cinder Bar
This establishment is more than just a bar since it offers American food, including burgers, salad, wood-fired pizza, and sandwiches. It also has multiple locations.
The Caesar salad comes highly recommended, as do the creamy lobster bisque, Italian ricotta meatballs, the Philly Dilly Pizza, the vegan cheesesteak, and the steak frites.
The Crab Trap
This is one of the best seafood restaurants in Somers Point on the Jersey Shore. Since it is on the water, all the seafood is fresh and the meals are divine.
The main courses include fresh oysters, fresh fish, crab cakes, and steaks. If you’re not in the mood for seafood, you can always get a combination meal.
Gouldsburger’s
This spot is newer in Haddonfield and offers up some of the best burgers. The restaurant has some high-top seating, but most people take their orders to go.
Signature burgers include the Smokehouse and Pocket Full Of Sunshine. Other staples include chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and customizable burgers.
