Alton Brown's Genius Bologna Sandwich Tip
By  KAREN HART
One of the most classic and convenient meals is the sandwich, and Alton Brown is a fan of this favored food. The celebrity chef, who dropped 50 pounds thanks to a steady diet of sardine-avocado sandwiches, is offering a genius tip for one of the most iconic sandwiches of the century — the bologna sandwich.
Fried or cold, a bologna sandwich is a childhood favorite that can endure into adulthood with the right adjustments. Brown proves this point with his life-changing trick of frying up a couple of slices of bologna and pairing it with some cold slices.
He further disclosed that he puts mayo on one slice of bread, mustard on the other, and thinly slices up a red onion for his sandwich. So the next time you can't decide between a fried bologna sandwich or a cold one, have both.
