Can You Heat Canned Tuna In The Microwave?

Oven-baked dishes like tuna noodle casserole prove that warm canned tuna is delicious and safe to eat. However, heating up canned tuna in the microwave instead is trickier.
It's okay to microwave canned tuna as long as you remove it from the metal can. However, there are other, non-safety-related reasons you may not want to microwave canned tuna.
Tuna is cooked before it's canned, and overheating it creates a fishier flavor and dries it out. You might want to choose a more gentle, gradual heating method over the microwave.
