How To Prevent Bacon From Sticking To Your Baking Sheet
By LAUREN ROTHMAN
There are not only a ton of ways to use bacon, but also tons of techniques to cook it. While frying bacon on the stovetop is one of the most popular methods, many chefs recommend cooking bacon on a baking sheet in the oven, which has a ton of benefits, so long as you make sure the bacon doesn't stick to the sheet.
Before baking bacon in the oven, you'll want to use one other item besides a rimmed sheet pan: A roll of parchment paper or tin foil. Not only does a lining on your baking sheet prevent your bacon from sticking directly to the sheet, but it also makes for a super-easy cleanup, keeping all (or nearly all) the grease on top of the paper.
The oven-cooking method is utilized by most restaurant kitchens, since it’s great for big batches, keeps your stove top grease-free, and cooks the bacon more evenly than the stove does. Alternatively, you can also lay bacon strips onto a wire rack set on top of a rimmed sheet pan before baking it, which will also work very well.
