Mall Food Court Restaurants That Dropped Off The Map

Farrell's Ice Cream Parlour opened in 1963 and became a mall staple. Sadly, the chain struggled throughout the 1980s and 90s, and the final location closed in 2019.
Hot Sam was a pretzel joint chain founded in 1967 that became popular in Detroit. However, the last handful of Hot Sam locations disappeared or rebranded by 2006.
In 2007, NexCen Brands bought mall favorite Pretzel Time with hopes of expanding; instead, it was merged with Pretzelmaker in 2010. Now, only the latter brand exists.
Wyatt's Cafeteria opened in 1930 to provide fun times and endless food, but in 1995, the corporation filed for bankruptcy. The last Wyatt's shuttered in 2003.
This chain was a rival to Mrs. Fields, but in 1996, the two were bought by one corporation, merged, and rebranded as Mrs. Fields Original Cookie Company.
