Buddig package of deli turkey with plate of turkey slices
11. Buddig
The Buddig package has a hefty price tag and just over a pound of deli turkey. The product does look like deli turkey but doesn't deserve the title tastewise.
Deli turkey slices on white plate
The small, thin, round slices come out of the package nicely but are rubbery, chewy, and salty. Plus, Buddig is one of the packaged deli meats with the lowest quality ingredients.
Plumrose deli turkey package with plate of deli turkey pieces, cheese, and pork rinds
10. Plumrose
Though each Plumrose package weighs about 2 pounds and has around two dozen rectangular turkey slices, it isn't a great deal unless you like pressed and processed meat.
Despite lacking flavor, the slices are large and dense. They may seem ideal for creating thick sandwiches, but getting a slice out of the package in one piece is difficult.
Know & Love deli turkey package with plate of turkey slices and cheese
9. Know & Love
Know & Love deli turkey, which comes in a resealable 8-ounce hard plastic container, is tasteless yet cloying. It is a cross between fresh and processed deli meat.
The package says the deli meat is coated with caramelized apple juice and natural flavors. However, the coating may seem unnecessary, as it doesn't really boost the meat’s taste.
Land O' Frost deli turkey in package with slices on plate
8. Land O' Frost
Land O' Frost’s oven roasted turkey looks like classic deli meat but has a rubbery and chewy quality to it. It is overly salty and lacking in flavor.
Furthermore, its lengthy ingredient list, which includes two types of sweeteners and some other ingredients we don't think are necessary, also doesn't do it any favors.
Oscar Mayer deli turkey package next to turkey slices on plate with cheese
7. Oscar Mayer
Oscar Mayer deli turkey features unnecessary ingredients, but the slices taste like quality deli meat and are easy to separate, evenly shaped, and well-sized.
However, it's more like freshly cooked poultry than something that's been pressed or canned. It doesn't taste natural, as the cloying backdrop borders on being chemical-flavored.
