Ranking Aldi Chocolate Candies From Worst To Best
BY Judy Moreno
12. Choceur Blueberry Açai
The Choceur dark chocolate blueberry açai pairs açai with blueberries and covers them in chocolate. Each little gem is around the size of a Milk Dud.
The candy has a strong, tart aroma and a fruity, chewy center. The chocolate coating isn't too flavorful, and those who don't like fruit and chocolate together may find it strange.
11. Moser Roth 70% Dark
The Moser Roth 70% dark chocolate bar isn’t the best dark chocolate you’ll ever try, but it's fine. It’s a bit bitter and reminiscent of strong black coffee.
The slightly milder high-percentage cocoa bar was less impressive than desired, which is why it earned the rank of second to last.
10. Choceur Peanuts
The Choceur peanuts and cornflakes milk chocolate bar focuses on peanut butter and cornflakes instead of chocolate. Both are more chewy than crunchy.
The peanuts in the chunky bar aren't ground into small bits, and the cornflakes add a savory crispness but are hard to distinguish. It's not high-quality tasting but it is fun.
9. Choceur Sea Salt Caramels
The Choceur dark chocolate sea salt caramels are shaped into small lumps of cooked sugar encased in dark chocolate before being sprinkled with sea salt.
The caramels aren't overly sweet or excessively salty; instead, they’re a little too mild. The texture is squishy and juicy, but the candies aren’t very rich or decadent.
8. Schogetten Caramel Brownie
The Schogetten milk chocolate caramel brownie bar doesn’t taste like caramel or brownie but does offer some sweetness, a fudgy texture, and richness.
Like other Schogetten bars, this one also sports deep pockets that make it easy to break it into pieces. The chocolate bar is fun but won’t knock you over the head with flavor.
