Ranking Popular Value White Wines From Worst To Best

20. Cupcake
The Cupcake pinot grigio offers consumers muted notes of pineapple, pear, and lemon followed by a bitter aftertaste.
There are plenty of cheap pinot grigio options on store shelves, many of which are more pleasant and easier to drink than the Cupcake pinot grigio.
19. Clos du Bois
Despite its beautiful golden color, the Clos du Bois chardonnay fails to deliver an appealing flavor. While some may enjoy its heavy oak taste, many others may not.
One of the issues is that the wine is so acidic that it clashes with the oak, resulting in an imbalance of two prominent flavors.
18. Archer Roose
The sauvignon blanc from Archer Roose has a lovely brightness and acidity that makes it easy to drink with food or sip on its own.
Although it has an unpleasant bitterness, the wine stands out for its can packaging, which makes it convenient, portable, and more sustainable than a bottle.
17. Black Box
While some still enjoy the delicious taste of a rich, buttery chardonnay, the Black Box version imbalances the flavor by having too much oak.
There's not enough acidity to hold up to the oak, resulting in a wine that tastes more like dessert than an accompaniment to your meal.
16. Dark Horse
Dark Horse chardonnay has a slightly better balance of flavors and a creamy, soft consistency that makes every sip an enjoyable sensory experience.
Unfortunately, the grapes used in the wine aren't that expressive, with most of the flavor coming from oak.
