Remember The Alimony: The Negroni Twist That’s Perfect For Fall
By KAREN GRECO
There’s no reason fall flavors should be limited to pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider donuts. What if you’re in the mood for something boozy yet properly seasonal? You’re in luck because there’s one simple cocktail that delivers perfectly spicy, fall flavors: Remember the Alimony.
Remember the Alimony is a spin-off of the Negroni, and both are three-ingredient drinks. While the Negroni relies on gin, vermouth, and Campari, Remember the Alimony swaps in sherry instead of vermouth and Cynar instead of Campari.
Cynar is an Italian liqueur made from 13 herbs, and although artichoke is its primary ingredient, any artichoke flavor is minimal. The herby Cynar in addition to the sherry — a fortified wine with a nutty, fruity flavor — results in a Negroni-adjacent drink perfect for fall.
