Stop Placing Aluminum Foil On The Bottom Of Your Air Fryer
BY EMERY PEARSON
Aluminum foil is probably your go-to for easy cleanup in the kitchen, but you shouldn’t use it to line your air fryer because it can hinder the hot air from evenly distributing.
Air fryers create a stream of hot air that flows around and through the food, but aluminum foil can stop that air from circulating or even create safety hazards.
To ensure your food is cooking properly and avoid damaging your air fryer, only use aluminum foil at the bottom of the basket without covering the sides of the basket.
Preheat the air fryer without foil and add the foil just before you add the food. Avoid wrapping your food in foil or overcrowding the basket, which can also prevent even cooking.
