The Absolute Best Ways To Reheat Cinnamon Rolls
By NATASHA BAILEY
Cinnamon rolls are delicious, but a whole batch is often too rich and heavy to finish. If you save a pastry or two for tomorrow’s breakfast, the microwave or a skillet will give great results when reheating your rolls to a deliciously soft texture; your preference depends on how much time and effort you can spare.
The microwave is the easiest method, but it can dry out food; we recommend placing a cup of hot water in the microwave with your cinnamon roll before heating it up for 30 seconds. If your rolls already feel tough when you remove them from the refrigerator, try buttering them before using the microwave and hot water technique.
When reheating cinnamon rolls in a skillet, use a deep or heavy-duty pan on a stove top set to medium-low heat, and wait until the pan is warm before placing your rolls inside. Cover with a lid to trap moisture and keep the dough from drying out, and heat for about 10 minutes; keep your eye on the pan to avoid the risk of burning.
