The Absolute Best Ways To Reheat Fettuccine Alfredo
By SHAYE GLISSON
Reheat in the oven
Stir one tablespoon of water into the pasta to prevent it from drying out, then securely cover the fettuccine alfredo with an oven-safe lid or aluminum foil to trap the steam inside the dish and keep the pasta moist. Place the fettuccine alfredo dish in a 375°F oven for 10 minutes, then remove and mix the pasta and return to the oven for another 10 minutes, and it's done.
Reheat in a water bath
Fill a separate pot halfway with boiling water, then gently place the bowl of fettuccine inside the pot, allowing the bowl to "swim" in the hot water, and continue to stir until your pasta is reheated. Although it takes some time, this method of warming helps the cream and oil in the alfredo sauce stay cohesive and slowly melt.
Reheat in a sauté pan
Place the leftover fettuccine alfredo and fresh garlic into a sauté pan and toss it for two to three minutes until it becomes hot and melty. Adding spices such as white or black pepper, nutmeg, lemon, and garlic, as well as vegetables and protein, adds full-bodied flavor to your fettuccine alfredo.
