It's no secret that Americans love bacon and in 2020 alone, as per Statista Research Department, a little over 268 million Americans ate bacon. This delicious protein can be served with eggs for breakfast, on a sandwich at lunch, in a sweet potato casserole for dinner, or even the perfect addition to apple pie.
Bacon comes in many forms, such as pork, turkey, beef, and even meat-free. There are also many ways to cook it, such as frying it in a pan on the stovetop or popping it in the oven, microwave, or air fryer.
Uno Casa recommends using a cast-iron skillet for your bacon since it conducts heat evenly and helps season the skillet. The trick to the bacon not sticking to it is to add a ½ tablespoon of oil, either bacon grease, butter, or lard, to the skillet that has been sitting over low-medium heat for five minutes before adding in the bacon.
