The Clever Household Screw Trick That Opens A Bottle Of Wine

In the unfortunate event that you have a bottle of wine and no way to open it, try this ingenious hack for removing a cork with just a screw and a fork.
Insert the screw into the cork of the wine and thread the top of the screw through the fork, using the fork as you would use a hammer to remove a nail.
Use a screw that can penetrate the cork’s full length and screw until there’s just enough space that the fork can fit while resting against the lip of the bottle.
The spiral threads of the screw provide the necessary leverage for extraction, gripping the cork while the fork acts as a lever against the lip of the bottle to pull the cork out.
