The Delicious Skirt Steak Marinade That Only Requires 2 Ingredients
BY STEPHANIE FRIEDMAN
Skirt steak has tough muscle fibers, so it's easy for it to turn chewy. Luckily, a Dijon mustard and sriracha marinade deliciously flavors the beef while also tenderizing it.
Both ingredients are flavorful and add a distinct tangy heat. Dijon mustard adds a bitter taste, and the garlic and chili peppers in the sriracha are vinegary and slightly sweet.
Dijon mustard and sriracha are highly acidic, which means they make the perfect combination to break down those tough fibers and tenderize your meat.
Mix about one-quarter cup of Dijon mustard with 2 tablespoons of sriracha and coat your steak in the sauce. Aim for 30 minutes to a couple of hours, but don’t let it sit overnight.
