The Kentucky Liquor Store With The World's Rarest Bourbon Collection
BY Jen Peng
Named after co-founders Justin Thompson and Justin Sloan, Justins' House of Bourbon in Kentucky has the world's largest collection of rare and vintage bourbons available for sale.
Its flagship shop in Lexington opened in 2018, while a second location followed in 2019 in Louisville. Both locations offer contemporary as well as rare and vintage bottles.
Some of its rarer bottles, including pre-Prohibition era bourbons, were purchased from individual sellers after Kentucky law changed to permit such sales in 2017.
There's a bar where you can taste regular and rare bourbons by the pour, limited-release pours, single barrel picks, bourbon flights, and bottles from every decade since 1950.
Justins’ also has a private tasting room full of really rare bottles. While the cost of regular bottles and pours is on par with other stores, rare and vintage ones can be pricey.
