The London Restaurant With King Charles-Approved Curry
By KAREN GRECO
Known for his simple food preferences, both in organic farming and eating, it may be a surprise to some to learn that King Charles loves curry. He even teamed up with Katy Perry for the Big Curry Night In, an annual event that raises money for the British Asian Trust, but which restaurant is his favorite?
A family-run curry house named Brilliant that originated in Nairobi but has been in the Southall section of London since 1953 is considered King Charles’ favorite restaurant. According to Hello Magazine, Brilliant was voted "Ramsay's Best Restaurant" and praised by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey for its "proper authentic Indian cooking ... from the heart."
With plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, the Punjabi recipes with Kenyan influences served at Brilliant suit King Charles' health-conscious diet. According to Express, the Royal goes meatless two days a week and completely vegan once a week, which makes Brilliant a great option when he's dining out.
