The return of “Love is Blind” for a second season on Netflix has fans buzzing. Fans aren’t talking about the pods, the wall, or even the apartments the couples move into, but rather the series’ distinctive gold wine glasses.
Creator Chris Coelen claims that the glasses give the show a unique visual identify. “When you turn on the show, you know it's our show,” he says. “I like the fact that we have this sort of connective tissue” provided by the golden stemware.
The glasses are also opaque. By using glasses that viewers cannot see through, the show’s creators can easily edit footage together seamlessly, because no one can see how full or empty the glasses are at any point.
