The Rude Trick Some Starbucks Customers Are Actually Trying

Per Starbucks baristas on Reddit, many customers are now asking for hot drinks and then claiming they ordered the drinks iced to have the drinks remade while keeping the originals.
Baristas say the trick has only ever worked in cases where the customer made an honest mistake, or the baristas themselves failed to ask whether they wanted their drink hot or iced.
Starbucks staff are aware of the trick. Some may have scored two drinks for the price of one, but in most cases, baristas keep the drink and toss it instead of giving it to a liar.
